Sayreville Councilwoman Donna Roberts is once again being honored by Moose Charities 2021-2022 League of Guardians for her annual contributions to the charity that supports children at Mooseheart and seniors at Moosehaven.
Councilwoman Roberts has been a member of the Women of the Moose since 2010 and was previously honored in 2018 where she attended the recognition dinner held at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA.
Roberts who is a regular donor to a number of charities said, “I find the more I give, the more I am given. It is also very nice that my company matched every dollar doubling the first $5,000 of every donation which really can make a difference. If your company offers a match, I recommend everyone take advantage of it.”
Roberts regularly contributes to a number of local charities including Rachel’s House which helps meet the needs of unwed mothers in South Amboy; Sayreville First Aid Squad which is fully funded by donations; and the New Life Pantry which is part of the outreach of Saint George’s Anglican Church where Roberts is a member.
Roberts said, “It’s not just donations, I believe in being an active part of the community by contributing time.” You can see Councilwoman Roberts at events including: The 15th Annual Blessing of the Bikes (motorcycles) on April 30 at Saint George’s Anglican Church in Helmetta; St. Stan’s Carnival June 23-25th; and at the Sayreville Memorial Day Parade on May 30.
